Day 80 - Do Not Let Your Failures Discourage You...

Hello lovelies!
Happy Tuesday, even though, to me, it feels like Monday.
Haha!
Yesterday went as I expected.
Badly.
It was like one continuous binge.
I am sure I gained weight from it, but you know what?
Today is a new day, and I started it off the right way.
By exercising.
I have a bit of the shakes, and I worked up a sweat, so that equates to a good workout for me.
I think I may cut down my number of workouts from three a day to two a day.
Once in the morning, once in the evening.
That seems more manageable to me, considering I push myself pretty darn hard when I workout.
I do not want to completely kill my muscles!
That would be very bad, indeed.
I am going to eat light today, because I am just not feeling like eating a whole bunch of food.
Plus I only get 1,100-something calories today anyway.
I promise I will go through blogs and comment everyone's today!
I was so busy yesterday with family, food, and fireworks that I did not get a chance to do much else. :)
My boyfriend might be coming down within the next couple days!
Dude, I am so excited, you do not even know.
It has been over three months since I have seen him.
I cannot wait til he gets down here. :D
Anyway, I gotta go rehydrate and get a shower!
Oh, and some lunch, that, too.
Have a wonderful day, lovelies!
Stay positive, stay beautiful! <3

Day 79 - Happy Independence Day, America!

Good morning lovelies!
I hope this finds you all well.
Today in America, we celebrate Independence Day.
Synonymous with cookouts, family time, and fireworks.
Today we honor those soldiers who fight to make sure our country remains free (like Camille's husband, Brad; tell him I said thank you for serving our country!)
Sometimes I think we take our freedom for granted, which is sad.
Every day, I am thankful for the chance to wake up when I want, wear what I want, say pretty much whatever I want, and worship in the way that I choose.
Not all nations get those chances, and for that, Americans should be grateful.
Anywho, time for me to get down off my soapbox!
We are going to my aunt's house for a cookout today.
Love family time, dislike the lack of healthy food.
I wish I could say I have a plan, but every time I make one, they never work out, so I am just gonna wing it and hope for the best, haha!
I am not going to work out until later tonight because I am really sore this morning and want to give my muscles some more time to heal before I break them down again.
I feel really good today, though, and I am hoping that feeling stays. :)
Have a wonderful day, my lovelies!
Stay positive, stay beautiful! <3

Day 78 - Home Again.

Hello lovelies!
A wonderful Sunday to you all.
Well, I am back home again!
We left last night around 7 pm instead of leaving this morning like we originally planned.
We got home at 5:30 am and I went straight to bed and got up at noon!
Reinvention starts now.
I had my "beginning" weigh in after I woke up.
145 pounds.
Not great, but at least I am not completely back at square one.
I can work with this.
I am hopeful that this is going to work.
I retooled my workout plan, which you can see over there in the module.
Yes, it seems like a lot, but I have plans to push myself to see how far I can really go.
I am going to workout three times a day.
Drink half my weight in water.
And focus on the good foods. :)
The Princess Diet and Lifestyle Change begins NOW.
I am going to be a lot more specific with my food intake.
Now, not only am I going to be tracking calories, each meal/snack is going to be its own separate thing with times of consumption attached to each, and I am going to record how many servings of the food groups were in each meal/snack.
I am throwing myself headfirst into this and never looking back.
The rest of the summer is mine.
I have no more large outstanding commitments, so the rest of my time off is going to be dedicated solely to taking control of my health.
I am so ready! :D
I deserve this, which is the main reason why I am doing it.
You all deserve to be healthy and to have bodies and minds that function at their best.
Start now.
You owe yourself that much.
I am going to begin the process of catching up on blogs now; oh, boy.
Have a wonderful day, lovelies!
Stay positive, stay beautiful! <3

Day 77 - It is Almost Over.

Good morning lovelies!
A very happy Saturday to all of you.
So today is it.
Today is the last day of my vacation.
We leave tomorrow morning at who knows what time to drive back home to Ohio.
Oh, yeah, if you did not know, I live in Ohio.
Cheers. :)
I cannot wait to get home and buy some fruits and veggies.
For myself, NOT for my sister's guinea pig!
I found this wonderfully helpful fruit/veggie list to refer to when making my healthy shopping list.
I am going to ask for only a few, because my parents pay for the groceries and I do not want to get them mad.
But rest assured, if they buy them, I will eat them!
Because I need to be healthy, gosh darn it!
So, my list is as follows:
- red apples
- grapefruit
- beets (?) [new veg, gonna try it]
- peaches
- pears
- carrots
- bananas
- potatoes
- broccoli
- green beans
- celery
- purple/red grapes
What do you think?
I am not going to make my dad buy all of that stuff at once.
I am planning to rotate my fruit/veg and only ask for two or three different kinds, with enough of each to last me for a week.
Thanks to my amazing friend Camille, I have been inspired to create my own diet/fitness plan!
We shall call it the "Princess Diet". :)
It is actually not that complex.
Rule 1: Follow your food pyramid.
Make sure you get enough fruits and veggies every day, as well as dairy, grains, and protein!
Rule 2: Drink half your weight in water every single day.
It is crucial to stay hydrated!
Rule 3: Track your calories!
Eat a minimum of 1,000 every day so that your body does not go into starvation mode.
Rule 4: Exercise!!!
Three times a day: once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and once in the evening.
Rule 5: Try to have a negative net intake each day if you can.
Maybe that will help you lose more weight faster...
The end. :)
I am super excited.
I cannot wait to begin. :D
I have been playing Sims a lot lately.
I like the Sim version of me.
She is stick thin and beautiful. :)
Haha, but anyway, off to read blogs and play more Sims.
Have a great day lovelies; you deserve it!
Stay positive, stay beautiful! <3

This is where I call home; guess which of the 88 counties I live in? :P <3

Day 76 - Karma?

Hello lovelies!
A very happy July to you all!
Last night was amazingly fun.
We went to The Comedy Club OBX (Outer Banks) and saw Mike Speirs (opener) and Michael Somerville (headliner).
They were both extremely hilarious!
It probably did not hurt that I had a banana daiquiri during the show, haha!
I think karma has finally caught up with me.
I feel so ill today.
All the crap food I have been eating is finally taking its toll on me.
I do not like this. :(
I talked to my boyfriend for an hour and a half last night.
I cannot wait to see him this month. :)
My older sister and her husband left to go back home this morning.
They own and run a pizza shop in our town, and they had to get home since they have to work tomorrow.
I am kind of hoping that we do something today, but on the same token, I would be content with just chilling here and trying not to die. :P
How is your July going so far?
Any plans this month?
My plan?
REINVENTION.
I am throwing myself headfirst into my weight loss and making that my primary focus.
My plan is to eat healthily, push myself with my workouts, and make sure I stay motivated and motivate others.
I want to lose as much weight as I can by the end of this month.
I have to get home first, haha.
Out of this toxic environment!
I need to make a shopping list of healthy fruits and veggies from every color of the rainbow. :)
This, of course, means figuring out what fruits and veggies I actually LIKE.
Trial and error, I suppose. :)
Anyway, I am going to go curl up with a book and curse karma to the very ends of this Earth.
Haha!
Have a wonderful day, lovelies; you deserve it!
Stay positive, stay beautiful! <3

One of my favorite outings every year! <3

Day 75 - Ugh.

Hello lovelies!
I hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday!
I am doing decently at the moment.
This environment is really starting to get to me, though.
We have absolutely no healthy food for the humans to eat.
The only reason we got fruit and vegetables is for my sister's guinea pig that came with us.
I think the only relatively healthy food my parents got for us is Nature Valley granola bars.
They got Chewy brand ones, too, but they are the chocolate covered kind.
We also have: cookies, cheesecake, pizza, snack cakes, the list could go on.
So yeah, this is an environment that promotes binging, and I have been doing just that.
But you know what?
Even the person with the strongest willpower in the world would crack in this environment.
I have no doubt about that.
So I do not feel as bad, haha!
Tonight, we are going to a comedy club.
You know what that means?
DRINKING.
I am so freakin' excited. :P
I love drinking, even though I do not do it often.
Sigh, I guess I am going to go eat a granola bar that tastes like cardboard and maybe some salt water taffy, because it is low cal and tasty.
I hope you all have a wonderful day; you deserve it!
Stay positive, stay beautiful, my lovelies. <3

That is what I feel like this week... :\ <3

Day 74 - Renewed Motivation

Hello lovelies!
A very happy Wednesday to you all.
Greetings to my new followers as well; if you have a blog and want me to follow you, make sure you leave me a link so that I can! :)
I have been watching Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition (thanks, Camille!) for the past two days.
It has filled me with renewed hope and motivation to lose these last pounds.
I know I can do it.
I mean, look how far I have come.
42 pounds lost.
That is absolutely amazing.
Those people on that show give me motivation and hope.
If they can do it, so can I.
If they can get healthy, so can I.
I need to up my workouts, cut the crap food, and believe in myself.
And you know what?
I DO.
My reinvention starts when I get back home on Sunday.
I am going to weigh myself as soon as I get home that night.
I know you are not supposed to weigh in at night, but I want a true measure of the damage I did to my body and my diet this week.
I need to know how far I need to push, I need to know how far I need to go.
Yeah, the weigh in is going to be difficult for me, but I will never know where I need to go from here if I do not do it.
I need to do my research, I need to figure out HOW to push myself.
This is all up to me.
I do not have a coach, I do not have a trainer.
Just myself.
I am gonna do this.
I know I will.
Who else is with me?
Have a wonderful day; you deserve it!
Stay positive, stay beautiful! <3

Are you going to give yourself an extreme makeover? <3
